Together, we can keep Raymond livable.

Support us as we move toward Town Meeting.

We can't stop change, but we can ensure that it doesn't destroy our way of life.

We can't stop change, but we can ensure that it doesn't destroy our way of life.

We can't stop change, but we can ensure that it doesn't destroy our way of life.

The landscape has changed with regard to the Short-Term Rental (STR) issues in Raymond.  As of last year, the town has taken over responsibility for producing an STR Ordinance.  The latest version of the Comprehensive Plan, passed at town meeting, also calls for an STR Ordinance to deal with the issues they create for neighbors and to track and set standards in town.

Thank you!

We can't stop change, but we can ensure that it doesn't destroy our way of life.

Thank you, to all who helped us get to this point!  Now we need to support the efforts of the Planning Board, who were tasked by the Select Board to create an STR Ordinance.  They have done their due diligence, with the help of a qualified planning agency, input from the public and review by Town Counsel, they have delivered their work to the Select Board.  Now the Select Board must have a public hearing on the Ordinance and then push it to a Town Meeting vote.

Your continued support is needed to get this Planning Board authored STR Ordinance across the finish line.  Attend the Select Board's public hearing on the Ordinance and then, please show your support by voting for the Ordinance at Town Meeting once it's placed on the Warrant.

This is a zoning issue.  These are mostly un-hosted businesses operating in Residential Zones.  The state has encouraged towns to deal with STR issues through local ordinances.  We're confident that you'll see the benefits of licensing and will support this balanced ordinance.  We can't stop changes from coming to our community, but if we're smart, we can build another source of municipal income while we remain a beautiful, respectful community for the peaceable enjoyment of all.
